Rainbow Bridge Grief Services is owned and operated by Companion Animal End of Life Doula Jessica Havens. A life long animal lover, Jessica has been providing compassionate assistance to people and their animals for decades.

The moment I learned about Companion Animal End of Life Doulas (Pet Death Doulas for short), I felt a connection, like something that I’d been developing on my own throughout my life finally had a name. Pets are our family and when a pet dies we are lose a member of our family. It’s not only ok to grieve that loss, I believe it’s important to do so. Our pets look at us as their whole world, their protectors and parents, means of sustenance and shelter. Don’t we owe it to them to ensure their last days are filled with love, as little pain and fear as possible?

When a person faces the impending loss of a pet due to death, they shouldn’t have to face it alone. Not only is it an emotionally challenging time but the amount of information, options and choices can be overwhelming.
